One-Day Culinary Classes

Our cooking classes are generally 3 hours in duration. During your class, you will prepare a multi-course meal which you will enjoy with fine wine at the end of the class. Many of our classes also include a trip to a local food market. These day trips have been carefully created by “The International Kitchen” to give you an authentic experience with lots of fun and laughter.

Sorrento: Lesson with Zia Angela

Marida, Roberta and their mother, popularly known as “Aunt Angela”, welcome you to their lovely villa in the heart of Sorrento. It is a beautiful place…gardens full of lemon trees and a small vineyard.

Classes are in their well equipped kitchen and in the outdoor barbeque area. Your lesson is a 3 hour hands-on session where you will learn traditional Italian cuisine with particular emphasis on Neapolitan recipes. You will also get the opportunity of visiting their wine cellar for wine tasting.

Lesson with Anna Maria and Sarah

They are two charming home cooks who are delighted to teach you the “secrets” that have been passed down from generation to generation.

You will meet them at the local market to select the freshest vegetables and produce and then prepare a 3 course meal that includes a pasta, a second course and a dessert. Then enjoy your own cooking with some excellent wine, ending the meal with grappa or limoncello, in true Italian style!

Daniela learned her skills from her great grandmother. Her food is delicious, menus creative, and presentations elegant. Her passion for cooking and teaching shines through to make this a memorable experience!

It is a perfect Roman cooking holiday…immersed in Italian culture, food and wine!

Cooking Lesson and Walking Tour

An exotic experience where you will combine the essence of Italian cuisine with visits to some of the most historic sites of Rome. You will visit Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Pietra as well as the chef’s favorite bakeries and the Jewish quarter, and of course to an authentic local market.

Finally the cooking class in the beautiful palazzo apartment, close to the Spanish steps and wine on the terrace with magnificent views of Rome.

This is a charming Roman experience…not a serious or advanced culinary one.

Start the day with a visit to the Arco di Travertino market then onto the hands-on cooking class with 4 traditional dishes, and lunch with fine Italian wines.

Located 15 minutes from the heart of Rome, Cecilia and Emidio welcome you to their home for a special home-cooked dinner.

The evening promises to be a memorable one with this friendly and out-going family.



Lesson with Chefs Nicoleta and Fabio

Enjoy a day with the young couple who will teach you the specialties of Lombardian cooking.

You will transfer to their home for your cooking class. Before your actual cooking, you will pick the freshest ingredients from the local farm. During your lesson, you will explore traditional Milanese dishes such as the famous yellow Milanese risotto. Lunch will be based on your efforts accompanied with some fine Italian wine.

Lesson with Chef Barbara

Barbara is a native Florentine and she has been fascinated with food since she was a small child.
Her cooking class will first take you to the famous Sant’Ambrogio market where you will pick the freshest ingredients. Then on to her teaching kitchen for your hands on cooking class followed by lovely lunch based on your efforts and some fine wine.

She also offers a country experience in her lovely country home in the Chianti area. A great opportunity to have lunch in her garden full of olive trees in the Tuscan countryside.

Lesson with Chef Jacopo

Jacopo Tendi is a Florentine Professional Chef with deep passion and knowledge of Tuscan cuisine.

Your cooking class will be conducted at his home where you will learn down-to-earth traditional Italian cooking with strong, natural and vibrant flavors of Tuscan cuisine.

Florence Dinner in a Private Home

This is a rare opportunity to enjoy a traditional homemade Florentine dinner and to experience the culture and traditions of a warm and hospitable Florentine family in their own home.

The hosts have been carefully selected by The International Kitchen and their homes are within walking distance of most hotels in down town Florence.


Champagne Tour-experience the Grape

Enjoy tasting 3 different champagnes in this memorable one day trip. The excursion includes a pick up from your hotel, tours of champagne houses, a 3 course lunch and a visit to the famous Cathedral at Reims.

Lesson with Chef Frederic

Chef Frederic managed several luxury restaurants during his career before following his passion and creativity to conduct cooking classes.

Your French cooking lesson will be in his beautiful apartment kitchen. The class will take you first to the nearby local market where you will select the freshest ingredients for your cooking class. You will create a full menu with him including appetizer main dish, and dessert including some of his specialties such as cucumber spaghetti.

Chef Frederic also offers a special dessert class.

Lesson with Chef Marthe

Chef Marthe conducts her cooking class in a fun and informative atmosphere. She is not a professional chef but an excellent home cook and her recipes can be easily reproduced in your own home. You will enjoy cooking in her lovely apartment in a great cooking atmosphere.

A genuine experience to enjoy the authentic flavors of Parisian cooking with a friendly local!

Chef Marthe also conducts a dessert or a chocolate class.

A Day with Patti

Patti Ravenscroft would love to share with you the hidden corners of Paris that she knows and loves.

Start off the morning with Patti in her dining room with a freshly baked croissant and coffee. Then on to Le Marche Poncelet, a lovely outdoor market. You will tour the market in depth, then visit one of the best fish markets and cheese shops in Paris as well as some of the finest shops for gourmet food and wine.

After this in-depth market visit, you can enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by Patti for you or accompany her to one of her favorite restaurants for lunch.

Another option is a cooking class with a 2 star Michelin Chef Guy Martin.


Barcelona: Boqueria market visit and cooking lessons

Your authentic Catalan cuisine experience starts with a visit to Barcelona’s Boqueria market.
The market is an explosion of color and favor with a different meats, cheeses, olive oils and fresh vegetables on display. Then on to the kitchen to learn traditional Spanish cuisine which you will be able to easily reproduce in your home. In the class you will prepare 3 courses using the best and the freshest local ingredients.
